The Northern Ontario Academic Medicine Association (NOAMA) was created to manage, distribute and administer the Alternate Funding Plan (AFP) funding on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Long‐Term Care and the Members.  Primary activities include disbursement of funding to Northern Ontario School of Medicine Physician Clinical Faculty for clinical (at the bedside) teaching, medical research, clinical innovation and recruitment of physicians to Northern Ontario.
